There are a TON of snakes that fall into the Lampropeltis family of colubrids, including king snakes and milksnakes. As well, some of these different species are so strikingly similar at first glance, that it often become extremely difficult to identify which subspecies you might be looking at.

As such, I thought I would share this page with you. This link was passed along to me some time ago, and it has proven to be priceless in helping to identify and properly name a variety of king and milk snake species.

Hope you find it as useful as I have!
